Our Focus is on the Jesus, God's Word, His grace, love, and hope
Our Vision Our vision is best described as that of "His backside." Our eyes firmly fixed on Him to follow the leading of the Lord, rooted in the Word of God, closely pursuing Him under the direction and power of the Holy Spirit to carry out the mission He has entrusted to us. Our Mission To be a body of believers committed to and striving to be the Body of Christ, a visible representation of Christ in this world. It is our intent to edify, equip, train, and lead that Body to fulfill the commission of our Lord to reach the lost, preach the gospel, make disciples, and baptize them in the name of the Father, the Son, and the Holy Spirit. Our Statement of Faith (What
We Believe)
We realize that we
are on a spiritual journey striving to "walk in the light" when it
comes to our understanding of timeless truth. We must always be
acutely aware that as human instruments, we are subject to limited
comprehension. As such, we desire to continually seek greater light that better
aligns us to Scripture and brings correction to our finite knowledge.
In other words, we are still learning and relying on God as He shapes us into what He wants us to be.
We embrace the entire Bible as the infallible, inspired Word of God for our rule of faith and we strive to practice all the biblical doctrines as taught
in the New Testament, though, we have listed some here that may be helpful to believers
seeking to mature in Christ Jesus:
- We accept the Bible
as God’s Holy Word, inspired, inerrant, and infallible.
- We believe the Bible to be God’s written
revelation of Himself to mankind and our guide in all matters of faith and life;
therefore, we look to the Bible as our highest authority for doctrine,
practice, thought, discipline, and organization.
- We are firm in our
commitment to the orthodox Christian
beliefs:
- We believe
that there is one God eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son, and
Holy Spirit.
- We believe in the
deity of Christ, His virgin birth, His sinless life, the physical miracles He
performed, His atoning death upon the Cross, His bodily resurrection, His
ascension to the right hand of the Father, and His personal return in power and
glory at His second
coming.
- We profess that
justification through Jesus Christ, and He only, is essential for the salvation
of sinful mankind. We believe the sinner is brought to an awareness
of the need for salvation through the convicting work of the Holy
Spirit.
- We practice water
baptism as a public profession for the believer and as a representation of the
believer’s identity with the death, burial, and resurrection of our
Lord
- We believe that in initial and on-going sanctification by the blood of Christ, one is made holy.
- We believe
in the baptism and the present, active ministry of the Holy Spirit who
guides us and by whose indwelling manifests the full gifts given to
believers.
- We believe in signs
following believers. Because of spiritual gifts and the sovereign work of the
Holy Spirit, miraculous signs and wonders, including divine healing, tongues, and interpretation may accompany the works and ministries of true
believers.
- We believe in the
oneness and ultimate unity of believers for which our Lord prayed in John
17.
- We are committed to
the sanctity of the marriage bond between one man and one woman and the importance
of strong, loving Christian
families.
- We believe in the sanctity of human life, including that of the unborn.
- We practice tithing
and giving.
